About The Principal
 
After very successful corporate careers at MetLife and Hanover Insurance as a Senior Information Systems and Human Resources Executive, Sam Bowden has focused his talents and energies on the world of small-to-medium businesses.  He has honed his skills in this area through direct business ownership & management,  investing in these businesses, and serving as technical advisor and business coach.
 
Among the specific skills and experience Sam brings to each client are the following:
 
  • 20+ years of practical experience & education:
    • Providing technology solutions to meet business management information needs
    • Financial and management reporting
    • Advising business clients and helping them select the best approaches to using technology to optimize their businesses
    • Managing projects to come in on-time and within budget
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Access
    • Personal computer operating systems and applications along the evolutionary lines from MS-DOS through Windows Vista
  • 15+ years hands-on experience & training:
    • Quicken, Quickbooks, Turbotax, Lacerte, and payroll solutions offered by Intuit
    • Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor 2008 & 2009 and Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions v9 Certified ProAdvisor
    • Applying bookkeeping, payroll and tax reporting skills & knowledge
    • Using internet connectivity, tools and applications to boost personal and business productivity

Sam is a summa cum laude graduate of Wofford College and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and the National Bookkeepers Association.
